Minutes of meeting

The meeting of IQAC education group coordinators was conducted on 9th July 2018 at 2:00 pm in

Room no 306, Third floor, A block with the following agenda:

– Report of events

– Controller of records

– Discussion of agenda for next meeting 14th July 2018

The faculties from which no coordinator/ representative attended the meeting are as follows:

1) Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences

2) Faculty of Mass Communication

3) Faculty of Allied Health Sciences

4) Faculty of Fashion and Design

The following were the proceedings of the meeting:

  • The meeting started with address to all the members present by Chairman of the meeting Dr T.D Dogra regarding creation of reports of individual events which is required for display during NAAC inspection. It was decided that each individual event shall be submitted in separate report. Each faculty was given 2 weeks time to submit all the reports in the format already shared by IQAC to all Deans and coordinators.
  • Dr Dogra asked for 2 volunteers to be “Controller of records” who shall be the incharge of all the record details of all the offices of the University. The COR shall be responsible to create a system of record keeping which is reproducible and traceable in a short duration of time and this shall be with collaboration/cooperation with IT. Dr Abhilasha Singh from CLC and Dr Nitin Mittal from SGT College of Pharmacy shall be the controller of records for SGT University and were asked to meet the Director IQAC to understand about the functioning and further course of action.
  • The agenda for next meeting of education coordinators on 14th July 2018 was discussed. The coordinators were asked to prepare a short presentation about the status of teaching methodology implementation in their faculty, the percentage of new methods being used, the percentage of faculty using the new methods, their outcomes, the problems encountered, any innovative technique used, any positive experiences, any feedback from the students, or effect of using these methods on the results etc.
  • The use of Log book was discussed and there were some concerns regarding the availability and filling of the same by faculty and Dr Bhalla was asked to review the logistics regarding log book so that they are made available for all the faculties. Log books are to be used for PGs too.
  • The meeting ended with vote of thanks by the chairman for the meeting Dr T.D Dogra.
